Jeremiah 14:1-10
GOD WILL REMEMBER THEIR INIQUITY
Thus says the Lord concerning this people: “They have loved to wander…therefore the Lord does not accept them, now he will remember their iniquity and punish their sins.” Jeremiah 14:10, RSV
As human beings, we are always quick to remind God of the good things we have done or are doing for which we want Him to show kindness unto us. We simply do not want Him to forget such nice ties of ours. We do not take note that if God can remember what we have done well He will not forget the evils we do too, especially if we refuse to change from it. Everything we do is written before God no matter the length of time. Therefore, every unconfessed sin still stands before the Lord irrespective of how and when it was committed until the day of reckoning.
The unrepentant Judah mourned because of the situation they found themselves, they pleaded with God to do something about their situation, yet they failed to restrain their feet from straying away from the Lord. God declared that He would remember their wickedness and punish them for their sin. Is there any unconfessed sin in your life? Have you been wandering away from God? If God will reward you for good done, He will not overlook the sin that you refused to repent of too. All He wants is your genuine repentance. Can you now pray for repentance and commitment?

Hosea 11:1-7
ISRAEL’S REFUSAL TO RETURN TO ME
“My people are bent on turning away from me; so they are appointed to the yoke, and none shall remove it.” Hosea 11:7, RSV
There is an adage that says, “A dog that will be lost will not heed its owner’s warnings.” Our God is loving and kind, He does not want any of His children to get lost or perish. He consistently and relentlessly sends words of rebuke and warning to His erring children to repent and return to Him. But more often than not, when a man is comfortable and satisfied, he forgets and turns a deaf ear to God’s warnings and rebuke.
Today’s passage reveals that ungrateful Israel forgot God and kept sacrificing to the Baals. God called on them to return to Him, but they refused, thus, God declared that they would live in perpetual oppression and be under a yoke and no one would remove it. Friend, are you straying away from God? God is waiting for you to return to Him, delay is dangerous. To as many who come to Him, He will by no means cast away. Do not be like the ungrateful Israel, return to the Lord today and you will be happy you did.

Hosea 10:1-8
ISRAEL’S SIN SHALL BE DESTROYED
“The high places of Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed….” Hosea 10:8, RSV
As a child, and even when I became a teenager I can remember my mother saying to me, “I will beat that stubbornness out of you today.” She actually succeeded by flogging and doing all sorts of things to destroy the altar of stubbornness that the Devil had erected in me. This was exactly what the Lord did to the Israelites. He had to deal with the sin of idol worship by demolishing their altars (verse 2B-) and leaving the place to grow thorns and thistles until they became ashamed of it (verse 8B-).
When the Israelites came out of Egypt, God gave them Ten Commandments, two of which forbade them of having and worshipping other gods but Israel did not obey God; they set up for themselves idols in all of their cities and worshipped them. They turned Bethel (House of God) to Beth-aven (house of idols) and God has to rid them of this sin. Today, there are many who go to church but are filled with idols inside. They shout hallelujah but are still filled with filthiness within. Today’s passage reveals what will happen to such people. Therefore, rid yourself of the idols in your house and heart so that you can escape the impending judgment coming upon sinners.

DAYS OF PUNISHMENT HAVE COME
“The days of punishment are coming, the days of reckoning are at hand. Let Israel know this. Because your sins are so many and your hostility so great….” Hosea 9:7, NIV
For everything a man does, the day of reckoning awaits him. Also, for sinners, the day of punishment will surely come. For the Bible says that no sinner will go unpunished (Proverbs 11:21). God declared days of visitation for punishment on the children of Israel because of their many sins and unrepentant heart. The Bible says, “It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:31). Therefore, let it be known that the day of punishment when God will judge all human wickedness is coming. Are you living a sinful life? Repent now before the day of His visitation overtakes you like a thief in the night.
As a Christian, consecrate your life to Him in righteousness and holy living, do away with all forms of sin and corruption and take heed to all His instructions and warnings.

Hosea 8:7-14
REAPING THE WHIRLWIND
“They sow the wind and reap the whirlwind. The stalk has no head; it will produce no flour. Were it to yield grain, foreigners would swallow it up.” Hosea 8:7, NIV
A farmer who planted good seed is expected to reap something during harvest, not the same quantity he planted but multiple folds of what he planted. As humans, we all expect results from whatever we do. Thus, you must be ready to live with the consequences of your action. Whatever a man sows the same he shall reap. In today’s passage, the Lord uses metaphor of wind and whirlwind to describe Israel’s deeds and the consequence of her deeds. Sowing the wind and reaping the whirlwind connotes that Israel has sown the seed of unrighteousness and she was going to reap judgment. Reaping whirlwind reveals that, the consequence of her deeds will be very severe and disastrous to the extent that none of them would be able to withstand it.
Friend, what are you sowing? Be aware that you are going to reap what you are sowing in multiple folds. If you sow deceit, lies, cheating, sexual promiscuity, hatred, murder and so on you will surely reap appropriate reward in no distant time. God will repay you with the same measure. Therefore, sow righteousness so that you can reap mercy.

Make-up...
I love this from REMI BADRU. Maybe u will like it too...
It was our wedding day, I was so eager to see my beautiful bride. But I was so disappointed when I saw her because she was looking like another person entirely. The make-up artist that helped in preparing her for the wedding succeeded in painting her as someone else. Recently, one of my big Uncle's posted a picture of a lady on his wall and posted another picture along the lady's picture; he asked his friends and followers, if they believe that the lady in the two pictures is the same. I cannot believe it because the lady has been toned up and made up to be more beautiful, spotless and gorgeous than she really is. My friends, the make-up business is one of the most trending businesses today and I have nothing against it. After all, I remember that whenever anyone fails a particular course in school, he or she is allowed to make up for it by working extra hours and sometimes repeating the course. Hence, I was shocked a few days ago, when the Holy Spirit began to speak to me on the make-up generation. Let me sincerely remind you that God cannot be mocked, He knows the truth about us. When ladies applies make-up, it is to make them look beautiful, attractive and most importantly to cover their defects; but in the real sense of it, the make-up will not be there forever. The make-up does not remove the defects in the person, rather it hides it for a while. That means that your true picture will sooner or later emerge. My friends used to jokingly say that you will know the actual beauty of a lady if you see her very early in the morning, before she makes herself up. My friends, there is no make up that can cover our real identities and that can remove our defects. It is a pity that many people have become so fake that they are even making up for God. It is a shame that we are using air conditioned auditoriums, powerful sound system and beautiful decorations as make-ups for evangelism, because we want to attract people. In a youth meeting that I attended, as we were worshiping, artificial smoke was released and the Lord asked me, if that can make-up for his manifold presence. I asked my wife what happens to a lady who have dark spots on her body but used make-up to cover them, but the husband discovers it on her wedding night, when she must have washed up everything to return to her normal self? What she was covering definitely will be seen. What are you covering from God? You can't pretend forever. Isaiah saw his true picture before it was late, because he could have died as a great prophet who had no heavenly recognition. Human applause does not mean heavens approval. When you make-up, you can appear beautiful but you know yourself. Stop trying to impress people, why don't you accept yourself and stop feeling inferior in yourself. This is a generation that runs from the truth but celebrates packaged lies as the truth. Many of our youths left churches where they can be disciplined, where the presence of God is so real, where the power of God is manifest and went to 'tushed' churches but when they have problems, they run to prayer mountains and prophets. Who are you deceiving? Beautiful clothing cannot make-up for bad lifestyle! Charisma cannot make-up for bad character. Speaking in tongues learnt cannot make-up for the true in-filling of the Holy Spirit. Who are you really living for? God or people? Do you know why you don't have peace? Why are you under so much pressure? Just to look good before people. And then? Yes you are looking good before people but God does not look at your appearance. I heard the Lord say to Samuel, 'do not be deceived, I have not chosen him. He looks the part but does not have the right heart. You cannot continue to make-up forever, why not be true to yourself and open up to Jesus? Adam and Eve were the first make-up artists, yet God saw their nakedness where they were hiding. Stop hiding! #iRISE

PRAYER
The word of God has made known to us the importance of prayer, with examples of people like Daniel, Ezekiel, Elijah and our Lord Jesus Christ who spent time praying constantly and consistently. Therefore as believers we need not to be coerced to pray but it should be a part of our life. The Bible commands us to pray without ceasing further more, James 5:16b, AMP. Says: The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. Don't stop praying, pray at all times about all things and it shall be well with you. Selah!

Your status doesn't matter, what matters is that you live the way Christ wants you to live and you tell souls around you about the true salvation which is in Christ Jesus. Make it a duty to pray for those who are yet to experience the salvation of their souls in Jesus and those who just experienced it that God will keep them from going back. Glorious Morning
Happy New Month... Thus saith the Lord "this month, you shall have dominion, you shall be fruitful, you shall multiply and subdue the earth... "
Genesis 1:26-28: God made you in his image and he has given you the mandate to dominate and subdue the earth. You have power over the air, land and sea and the elements therein because God created you to dominate the earth. Verses 27-28says " ESV: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 28And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
DECREE:
This Month;
I have dominion
I am fruitful
I multiply
I subdue and
I fill the earth.
Meditate on this words this month and prosper...
